What was your educational and career background prior to joining 2B&B?

 

"My education and work history are as varied as I am.  I have college diplomas in Commercial Art and Computers and I've attended MUN, UVIC, BCIT and Camoson.  I've worked in retail sales, customer relations at an internet company, the phone company and the Centre for Excellence in Learning.  The list is really too long so let's just say, I love working with people and being creative and professional!"

 

Can you tell us about your family?

 

"I have two beautiful children, a boy who is 7 and a girl who just turned 4.  They are amazing little people and they make every day an adventure.  My life feels so much richer because I have been blessed with them. My husband is as equal a bright spot in my life - he is my rock, very supportive and loving. My family is everything to me!"

 

What appealed to you about joining 2B&B?

"I loved the thought of being my own boss, working with people to find solutions (I love puzzles) and creating amazing designs.  I also love being able to flex my schedule around my family." 

 

What is your goal with 2B&B in your community? 

"Victoria has a strong sense of loyalty to all things local.  I want to grow as a part of the community as I grow my franchise.  I have donated baskets for many charity raffles, to fundraisers for cancer and Alzheimer's research, as well as to the Queen Alexandra Centre for Children, to name a few.  I intend to continue this trend with the growth of my business.  It is very important to me, especially as a woman, to give back whenever I can and to be a positive influence in my community."

 

What are your favorite

"There are so many, it's hard to decide!  I really love the Fleur-de-Sel Caramels and the Aussie Licorice!  I also love our bath products.  Two of my favorite local products are Salt Spring Island Teas and Sea Change Salmon (not only is it delicious but the packaging goes beautifully with our basket designs)."
