VANESSA
GORGONIO
When the beloved former franchisee of our York
Region location, Tamara Child,
had to sell her franchise and relocate with her husband
to the U.S., we
were upset to see 'our' Tammy go.
How could she ever be replaced?!
Lucky for us, that old saying 'Birds of a feather
(you finish the rest)' rang true. Good people cultivate
good friends.
And
with that, Vanessa came into the picture to own and operate
the 2B&B York Region franchise,
following in her good friend's
footsteps.
We couldn't have been happier...cute, stylish, bubbly,
sweet, and one heck of a sales dynamo, Vanessa fit
in well.
(It also helped that she knew nearly every product inside
out having ogled it at Tammy's many times prior and
having employed Tammy's gift services on numerous
occasions, including for her very fabulous wedding!)
Needless to
say, we welcomed
Vanessa to our little gift family with open
arms!
Here
are her thoughts on joining the 2B&B
family:
What was your educational and career
background prior to joining
2B&B?
"Before joining 2B&B I was teaching children, mainly
Junior and Senior Kindergarten age groups. I absolutely
loved teaching; however I was presented with an amazing
business opportunity that I was not willing to pass
up!"
Can you tell us about your family?
"I was
just married on March 1st so I am totally enjoying honeymoon
bliss! We live very close to both of our families and
enjoy spending time with our little nieces and
nephews!"
What appealed to you about joining
2B&B?
"I must say, I have always had
the 'entrepreneurial bug.' When my good friend Tamara
(the previous York Region owner) joined the 2B&B team, I
admit I was a bit jealous! I fell in love with the
concept and immediately began looking into becoming a
franchise owner. One year later, Tamara found herself in
a position to sell her location and I jumped at the
opportunity. The quality and uniqueness of the products
and basket collection outshone any gift company I have ever
encountered before. I also love the idea of creating my
own success, having flexibility in my daily schedule and
continuing to utilize my creative
abilities."
What is your goal with 2B&B in your
community?
"I am committed to continuing the
success of Two Blonds & a Brunette Gift Co. - York Region
and making it a household name. I will also continue to
contribute and participate in community events and donate to
breast cancer research and awareness with the sale of our very
cute Cupcakes Aprons and other fabulous
products!"
What are your
favorite
2B&B
products?
"I absolutely love our Chocolate
Covered Pretzels (the perfect combination of salty and sweet
-dangerous!!!) and of course the Buttercream Frosting Hand
Cream is always in my
purse!!!"
